The Students' Union at the University of Calgary is well-known for their exciting and innovative events on campus. The SU plays a huge role in the frosh week activities at the beginning of each school year and are now referred to as the "official party planners" due to their kick-ass Snow Pants Day event which occurs at the end of the first semester and the wildly successful end of year bash called Bermuda Shorts Day. In addition to the crazy parties, the SU also brings in the hottest concerts all year round to their two state of the art concert venues. And that's not all, there are many free weekly events such as Cinemania which offers new movies fresh out of the theatre every Monday night and That Empty Space which is a small comfortable lounge that offers live music and cheap beer every Friday afternoon. The Students' Union also tries to inform students and keep them on their toes with edgy awareness weeks such as Sexual Awareness Week, Enviropalooza, Political Action Week and various others. If you're looking to get involved on campus and have a good time, then the Students' Union is the place for you.

Since 1999 The Liberty Lounge has hosted some of Canada's largest performance artists such as Broken Social Scene, Stars, The Weakerthans, The Constantines, Bedouin Soundclash, The Stills, Feist and Sarah Harmer. It has also hosted international stars such as Gogol Bordello, The Horrorpops, Xavier Rudd, The North Mississippi Allstars, Evan Dando and Hugh Cornwell. |

What's the difference between SAIT and SAITSA? SAIT is the actual institute. SAITSA is the SAIT Students' Association, which is run separately from the school. The Students' Association is the student voice on campus and represents the rights of students. Where is SAITSA? The SAITSA Main Office is located in V204 Campus Centre. The Student Services Centre is located in the Heart Building, in Room MC107. |
