Credit unions
are financial institutions that offer a full range of products and
services. They are also cooperative organizations that are owned,
directed and controlled by the people they serve - their members.
With your initial
common share investment, you become an owner of the credit union.
This entitles you to attend the credit union's annual general meeting
and vote on important changes and new initiatives.
And, when the
credit union profits, so do you. Because, when the credit union
has a surplus, these funds are distributed back to its membership
through common share interest payments or through patronage dividend
payouts based on the business a member has with the credit union.
Dividend payouts have been as high as 9%.
